For Immediate Release
The American Venous Forum and the Journal of Vascular Surgery will launch a new journal on venous and lymphatic disorders
Through collaboration with the Society of Vascular Surgery, a new quarterly journal, The Journal of Vascular Surgery: Venous and Lymphatic Disorders, will launch in January 2013. The Society for Vascular Surgery and the American Venous Forum's members will receive the quarterly journal as a benefit of membership in these two organizations.
Robert McLafferty, MD , stated "The American Venous Forum is proud to participate in this collaboration to continue to promote venous and lymphatic health. The new journal provides another avenue for our members to articulate and share in current research and information in venous disorders."
According to Editor Anton N. Sidawy, MD, "Venous disease is highly prevalent and is a significant cause of morbidity and mortality. It is our goal to publish high quality clinical studies, research, case reports, techniques, reviews, venous and lymphatic images and practice management manuscripts related to all aspects of venous disease, lymphatic disease and wound care."
Manuscripts should be submitted to the Journal electronically using the JVS Editorial Manager submission system located at www.jvs.editorialmanager.com. Detailed instructions on submitting a manuscript are available on that website.
